The Graduate Mentorship Program (GMP)

The Graduate Mentorship Program (GMP) is an employment program that helps unemployed recent post-secondary graduates develop new skills and gain work experience in their field of study through on the job training. A temporary wage subsidy (up to 50% for 52 weeks) is provided to an employer to create long-term employment opportunities and assist with the cost of hiring and training a new employee. At the end of the wage subsidy, the employee should be fully productive and contributing to the success of the business.

"ASDA makes hiring easy. They quickly matched me with students who fit my hiring criteria perfectly. The interview process was straightforward. It allowed me to find a great employee briefed on my company and my needs before we had even met. The ASDA continuous check-in and training process means more accountability from my employees.”

"Entering my last year of University, I faced the challenge of preparing for life after school. I was worried about getting a job since I had no experience in my field. Thanks to ASDA, I was able to get a job in my area. Thanks to their preparation, I was well prepared for my interview (and oh boy, was I nervous). So far, I love my job and the opportunity to broaden my network, sharpen my skills, and achieve my goals."

We hired a client of ASDA. At first, the position was brief (lasting only a few weeks) and part-time. The person did such an excellent job that, when the opportunity arose to hire them full-time for about 6 months, we jumped at the chance. The decision was unanimously made by a national group of partners. We are impressed with this person's skills, knowledge, work ethic, creativity, and competencies, and intend to continue working with them for as long as possible.
